Clearbit (HubSpot Breeze Intelligence) → RB2B
What it saves, what actually moves, what you rebuild — and the thing that catches people.
What it costs, and what it saves
Clearbit is no longer sold on its own: its help centre says HubSpot is 'no longer offering new standalone Clearbit subscriptions' and points to Breeze Intelligence, and the free Clearbit platform and Weekly Visitor Report were sunset on 30 April 2025. Inside HubSpot, Buyer Intent costs 10 HubSpot credits per tracked company per month; credits are $0.010 each pay-as-you-go or $10 per 1,000-credit pack, with 500, 3,000 or 5,000 credits included monthly on Starter, Professional or Enterprise (HubSpot catalogue, read 2026-10-03). RB2B, as listed on 2026-10-03: Free $0 (150 monthly resolutions, company-level ID, Slack only), Starter $79/mo (300; LinkedIn URLs to Slack or Teams, no emails, 45c overage), Pro from $149/mo (600 to 2,500; business emails, HubSpot and other integrations, 25c overage), Pro+ from $199/mo (premium resolution). The units differ: HubSpot bills per tracked company, RB2B per identified visitor per 30-day window.
Moves cleanly
The job of turning anonymous website traffic into a list of visiting companies carries over. RB2B's company-level ID is on every plan, works globally through its Demandbase partnership, and returns company name, website, industry, employee count and revenue, delivered to Slack on all plans or to HubSpot, Salesforce, webhooks and CSV on Pro and above.
You rebuild
No data transfers: visitor history stays where it is, and RB2B's HubSpot sync only sends activity recorded after you connect it. Rebuild alert routing, ICP filters and exclusions, HubSpot workflows keyed on Clearbit or Buyer Intent properties, and any code that called Clearbit's Reveal API directly; RB2B's documented delivery is a tracking script that pushes identified visitors to other tools.
What Clearbit (HubSpot Breeze Intelligence) costs you today
Sold as HubSpot credits rather than a standalone subscription, consumed per enrichment and per identified visitor, and effectively requiring a HubSpot subscription underneath it. That makes a like-for-like price comparison genuinely hard, which is itself worth knowing: teams evaluating this against a point solution are usually comparing a platform commitment to a tool. Checked 2026-08-01 — verify against HubSpot directly, because credit pricing changes more often than list pricing.
What actually holds you in
Moderate, and it is workflow rather than data. Enriched records live in your CRM and stay there; the identification happens live and is not something you retain. What binds you is everything built on top — routing rules, scoring models, personalisation logic and reporting all assume one vendor's field names and confidence scores, and a different vendor with different match rates changes the behaviour of every downstream rule. Being inside HubSpot deepens that considerably, because the enrichment is no longer a service you call but a feature of the platform your revenue team lives in.
What you are moving to
RB2B identifies individual visitors — name and LinkedIn profile, not just the company — and pushes them to Slack in real time. That is a meaningfully different product from company-level tools, and the free tier makes it the cheapest way to find out whether visitor identification is useful for your business at all before anyone signs a contract. Two constraints are stated openly by the vendor and belong here: it covers US traffic only, and person-level identification is a stronger privacy claim than company-level, which is exactly why it is US-only. Run it past whoever owns privacy at your company before switching it on.
Free tier with a monthly identification allowance; paid plans above it. Checked 2026-08-01.
RB2B strengths
- Person-level rather than company-level identification
- Free tier is genuinely usable — the cheapest way to test the premise
- Real-time Slack delivery, so leads reach a human immediately
- Fast setup: one script tag
What you give up
- US traffic only — useless for a primarily international audience
- Person-level identification carries real privacy and compliance questions
- Proprietary and hosted with no self-host path
- Narrower feature set than the platform tools
The migration, step by step
- 1Write down what Clearbit did for you: which pages it watched, which alerts or HubSpot workflows used its company data, and whether any code called the Reveal API; export the visitor and company lists you want to keep, since none of it moves to RB2B.
- 2Decide the scope before installing anything: company-level only (RB2B Free, Slack only) or person-level identification of US visitors (paid plans). Person-level identification is a different job from Reveal with different legal exposure, so have your privacy lead or counsel sign off first.
- 3Update consent and disclosure: add the RB2B script to your consent management tool (RB2B says one is required for its global company-level ID and that it does not enforce consent for you) and add the privacy-policy wording RB2B recommends for CCPA/CPRA.
- 4Install the RB2B script and configure the HubSpot integration before connecting it: by default it creates new companies and contacts, labels contacts as non-marketing, and with 'Sync company-only profiles' on it creates one 'Anonymous Visitor' contact per company. Switch off what you do not want first.
- 5Parallel run for two to four weeks: keep Clearbit or HubSpot Buyer Intent running and compare, on the same traffic, which companies each identifies, how many RB2B resolutions are used, and how many records arrive in HubSpot.
- 6Cut over: remove the Clearbit tag or stop tracking companies in Buyer Intent so credits stop being consumed, point alerts and workflows at RB2B's properties, and review the CRM for duplicates after the first month.
The gotcha
Clearbit Reveal and its HubSpot successor identify the company behind an IP address, not the person; HubSpot's Buyer Intent FAQ says exactly that. RB2B's headline product names individual US visitors, with LinkedIn profiles and business emails on paid plans, and its HubSpot sync creates contacts by default. Switching can therefore turn a company-level programme into a person-level one without anyone deciding to. RB2B's documentation says US company-level tracking cannot be disabled, and we found no documented switch that keeps the HubSpot sync while turning person-level identification off, so confirm with RB2B before deploying if you want company-only data. Outside the US, RB2B identifies companies only, and its own GDPR page says you must run a consent management solution for that global IP-to-company identification.
When to stay on Clearbit (HubSpot Breeze Intelligence)
Stay if you already run HubSpot: Buyer Intent is where Clearbit's own help centre sends reverse-IP users, it draws on credits your plan already includes (500 to 5,000 a month), and the data stays in your CRM. Also stay if company-level identification is all you need, if most of your visitors are in the EU or UK, or if you do not want named, person-level identification of your website visitors.
