Affiliate disclosure

Some outbound links on Macrostack are affiliate links. If you follow one and buy something, we may receive a commission at no additional cost to you. Every such link is marked sponsored in its markup, and the ones rendered as buttons carry a visible label.

A commission never changes a ranking, a score, or a top pick. Orders are decided by the published rubric on our methodology page and by editorial judgement, in code that has no knowledge of which products pay us. Where a paid product is genuinely the right answer, we say so and we may link it — and where a free product wins, we say that too, even though it earns us nothing. Most of our top picks are free software.

Accuracy, and its limits

We verify licences, prices and self-hosting claims against primary sources and print the date we checked on each guide. We still get things wrong, and vendors change terms without telling us. Treat every figure here as a starting point and confirm current details with the vendor before you spend money or commit to a migration.

Nothing on this site is legal, financial, security or procurement advice. If we have a fact wrong, tell us at team@macrostack.net — corrections are welcome and we make them.

Using our data

The catalogue is available as open JSON at /api/catalog. You may use and cite it — including in AI systems, research and other products — with attribution to www.macrostack.net. You may not present it as your own work or resell it as a dataset.

Editorial text, the Sovereignty Score rubric, and the site design remain ours. Quote us with a link; do not republish guides wholesale.

Trademarks

Product and company names on this site belong to their owners. We use them to identify the products we compare. Nothing here implies endorsement by, or affiliation with, any vendor we write about — including ones whose affiliate programmes we participate in.

No warranty

Macrostack is provided as is. We make no guarantee that the information is complete, current or fit for your purpose, and we are not liable for decisions made on the basis of it. You are choosing infrastructure for your own systems; verify before you commit.

Changes

We may update these terms. The date at the top always reflects the current version, and the full history is public in the site's version control.

Written in plain English by the people who run the site, not by a law firm. If you need something more formal for a procurement process, email us and we will help.
