Is Calendly free? What it actually costs in 2026

The short answer

Calendly is free for one event type on one connected calendar, one-on-one only. Standard is $10 a seat a month.

The Free plan gives you a booking page, one event type, one calendar connection, one-on-one scheduling and the browser extension. Integrations with other tools are not included.

Where the wall is

The second event type. The moment you need a 15-minute call and a 45-minute call, or a second calendar, you are on Standard. Only hosts need a seat; invitees never do.

Can you self-host Calendly? No — cloud only

Real RAM against the documented minimum, monthly cost, setup time, and the one thing that catches people out.

Self-hosting Easy!Appointments

needs 1 GB on a VPS covers PHP and MySQL for one business's booking traffic (docs say Not stated by the vendor. The install guide is written for ordinary PHP hosting (Apache 2.4+, PHP 8.2+, MySQL 5.7+, files uploaded by FTP), so a basic shared-hosting plan is the smallest documented footprint)$0 extra on PHP hosting you already pay for, or $5–10/mo on a 1 GB VPS

Self-hosting Cal.diy

needs 2 GB to run the built image with PostgreSQL and Redis; 8 GB on whichever machine does the build (docs say Not stated by the vendor (the docs say it 'runs with pretty minimal hardware requirements by itself'). Building it is another matter: the project's Dockerfile gives Node a 6,144 MB heap for the build)$6–12/mo on a 2 GB VPS, as long as you build the image on an 8 GB machine you already own and push it to a registry

Self-hosting Rallly

needs 2 GB covers the bundled stack (Traefik, PostgreSQL, Garage object storage and the app) for a team's polls (docs say 2 GB, as stated in the self-hosting prerequisites)$6–12/mo on a 2 GB VPS plus a transactional email provider. Free for one registered account; a one-off $49 licence covers up to 5 (guest voters don't count)

Self-hosting Appointments for Nextcloud

needs Whatever your Nextcloud already uses, since the app adds no services. A Nextcloud stood up just for booking still means running all of Nextcloud; 4 GB is comfortable (docs say Nothing of its own, because it's a Nextcloud app. Nextcloud's minimum is 128 MB RAM per PHP process, with 512 MB per process recommended)$0 on a Nextcloud you already run; otherwise the cost of Nextcloud itself, $12–24/mo on a 4 GB VPS

What you are locked into

Booking history, availability rules, and integration configs live in Calendly's cloud; there's no first-party bulk export of scheduled-meeting data, and event-type setups don't port to another platform, so switching means rebuilding your booking pages elsewhere.
