Is Clearbit (HubSpot Breeze Intelligence) free? What it actually costs in 2026
Clearbit is not free — it no longer exists as a product. Its data is HubSpot's Breeze Intelligence, and enrichment runs on HubSpot Credits at $0.01 a credit; free HubSpot accounts cannot use credits at all, and Starter includes 500 a month.
HubSpot's catalog: credits are $0.010 each pay as you go (invoiced in tens), or $10 per pack of 1,000 a month; Starter subscriptions include 500 credits, Professional 3,000, Enterprise 5,000 (Data Hub and Customer Platform: 500 / 5,000 / 10,000). Only users with paid seats can spend them.
What the free tier actually includes
- No credits on free HubSpot accounts — enrichment needs a paid seat
- Starter: 500 included credits a month; unused credits expire monthly
- Per-record credit costs are in HubSpot's rate sheet, not on the pricing page
Where the wall is
The paid seat. Before a single company is enriched you need a Starter hub, and then the meter is credits: a pack of 1,000 is $10 a month, pay-as-you-go a cent each, and every enrichment, intent digest and prospecting-agent run draws from the same pool.
After that: HubSpot Credits $0.010 each pay as you go, or $10 per additional 1,000-credit pack a month; included with Starter (500), Professional (3,000) and Enterprise (5,000) subscriptions.
Can you self-host Clearbit (HubSpot Breeze Intelligence)? No — cloud only
Breeze Intelligence lives inside HubSpot. RB2B, Algomo and Dealfront are the visitor-identification services compared here; none is free either, but none requires a CRM seat first.
When paying is still the right call
Stay if you are a HubSpot shop. Breeze Intelligence enriching records natively inside the CRM your team already uses is worth real money in saved integration work, and no point solution matches that. Stay if data quality on mid-market and enterprise accounts is what you need, where Clearbit's dataset remains among the strongest. And stay if procurement values one vendor and one contract — a consolidated platform is a legitimate reason to accept a worse component, and pretending otherwise would not be honest.
What you are locked into
Moderate, and it is workflow rather than data. Enriched records live in your CRM and stay there; the identification happens live and is not something you retain. What binds you is everything built on top — routing rules, scoring models, personalisation logic and reporting all assume one vendor's field names and confidence scores, and a different vendor with different match rates changes the behaviour of every downstream rule. Being inside HubSpot deepens that considerably, because the enrichment is no longer a service you call but a feature of the platform your revenue team lives in.
