What to know before you build on Anthropic
- Claude Mythos 5.1 and Claude Mythos 5 are limited to verified organisations.
- The Batch API takes 50% off both input and output tokens.
- Cache reads cost 0.1× the input price (0.025× on Fable 5.1 and Mythos 5.1, 0.05× on Opus 5.5 and Sonnet 5.5); cache writes cost 1.25× for five minutes or 2× for an hour.
- Claude 4.7 and later use a tokenizer that produces about 30% more tokens for the same text, so their per-token prices do not compare one-for-one with older Claude models.
- Claude Haiku 5.5 is priced by prompt length: prompts over 100,000 tokens pay the higher row.
- New users get "a small amount of free credits"; there is no free tier in the price table.
