SuiteCRM

The SugarCRM fork — enterprise features, no licence, no vendor.

OPEN SOURCEAGPL-3.0SELF-HOSTLOCAL-FIRST

SuiteCRM is the community fork of SugarCRM, created when Sugar closed its open edition, and it has been maintained independently ever since. That history is the point: it is another product on this site that outlived its parent's commercial decision. AGPL-3.0, with workflow automation, quotes, invoices, contracts and reporting included rather than sold — the enterprise feature set without the enterprise licence. It is the most complete open CRM by capability and the most dated by appearance, and which of those matters more is genuinely a question about your team.

Twenty

The modern one — built to feel like software from this decade.

OPEN SOURCEAGPL-3.0, with `@license Enterprise` file carve-outsSELF-HOSTLOCAL-FIRST

Twenty is an open-source CRM built with the design sensibility of a modern product: keyboard-first navigation, a clean data model, custom objects, and an interface that does not feel like enterprise software from 2012. Around 54k stars, which is the most of any CRM here by a wide margin and reflects genuine developer enthusiasm. The licence is mostly AGPL-3.0, with specific files marked `@license Enterprise` under a commercial licence — so it is AGPL-with-carve-outs. It is the youngest option, and the caveat is exactly that: excellent trajectory, short track record.
